Lotus Elan: The Vision
The End of Compromise
As the old saying goes, you can’t have your cake and eat it. In the past we
were educated to believe we can’t have it all. But that was the past.
Today’s driver demands more and the Elan delivers.
The Elan is the beating heart of the new Lotus line-up. It’s a high

WoW den va läcker !!!

Som en designmässig blandning av Evoran & nya Esprit & i mina ögon den enda av dom 3 bilarna dom behöver bygga, för det känns lite som att dom får ett modellprogram där det är väldigt tätt mellan stegen !?

Håller med om att den är riktigt läcker, men kan inte låta bli att tycka att de borde väntat med att visa upp den. Jag tycker definitivt att det känns som Evorans efterträdare och att visa upp ett koncept på efterträdaren blott ett år efter att första Evoran levererades till kund tycker jag känns som ett konstigt beslut. Hur kommer det här slå mot försäljningen av Evoran? Visst, Evoran kommer i S-version och även med automatlåda som säkert kommer öka försäljningen men jag kan inte låta bli att tänka att folk väntar med att köpa alternativt köper något annat i väntan på den betydligt snyggare & coolare Elanen.

Med tanke på alla andra ursnygga Lotuskoncept tror jag knappast någon hade saknat Elanen om den inte varit med i Paris, kanske varit bättre lämpad att visa upp i Paris om två år istället?!

På SELOC har någon läst en artikel i tidningen CAR.

Browsing through the latest edition of CAR magazine, there's a piece about Lotus and its turnaround plan. Apparently, some high-placed source inside the company has told CAR that the new Elan is on hold and may be shelved because having it and the Esprit in the lineup will cannibalise sales.

Om den är billigare än Esprit kan den väl sälja?
Däremot är ju Evora:n nära i spec:en, ser inte att de kan ha både Elan:en och Evora:n i programmet.
